Hdrason® Gel Blaster Water Beads Storage Tips: How to Store the Water Beads and Launcher?

After playing with your Hdrason® Gel Blaster water beads, proper storage can extend their lifespan and prevent deterioration of the water beads and damage to the launcher. Many players simply set their water beads and launchers aside after playing, causing unused water beads to mold and the inside of the launcher to rust. This not only affects the next play experience but can also pose a safety hazard. Today, we'll share storage tips for Hdrason® Gel Blaster water beads, focusing on how to store unused water beads and maintain the launcher, ensuring they remain in excellent condition.

Storage of Unused Water Beads: Prevent Deterioration by Preserving Them

Unused Hdrason® Gel Blaster water beads fall into two categories: soaked wet beads and dry beads. Each requires different storage methods and handling.

1. Soaked wet beads: Seal and moisturize for short-term storage

If you're storing unused wet beads for a short period (1-3 days), they should be sealed and moisturized to prevent moisture loss, which can cause the beads to harden and break. First, place any unused wet water bombs in a clean, airtight container. Don't overfill the container, leaving enough space to prevent them from squeezing and deforming. Then, add a small amount of water, just enough to cover the bottom of the bomb. This will maintain moisture without causing it to expand excessively. Finally, securely close the container and store it in a cool, well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and high temperatures. Direct sunlight can cause the water to evaporate too quickly, and high temperatures can accelerate deterioration.

Note: It's not recommended to store soaked wet water bombs for extended periods. Even if they're sealed and moisturized, they may develop mold and odor after more than three days, compromising their safety. If a wet water bomb develops mold, stickiness, or an odor, it should be discarded immediately and not used.

2. Unsoaked Dry Water Bombs: Keep them dry and sealed for long-term storage.

Unsoaked dry water bombs have a longer shelf life and can be stored for 6-12 months if properly stored. First, place the dry water beads in their original packaging or a clean, sealed bag, ensuring the packaging is intact and leak-free. Next, squeeze out any air from the bag and seal it tightly to prevent the beads from absorbing moisture and expanding prematurely. Finally, store the sealed dry water beads in a cool, dry drawer or cabinet. Avoid humid environments (such as near the bathroom or kitchen sink), as this can cause the beads to clump together and affect subsequent soaking.

Also, avoid storing dry water beads with sharp objects to prevent the packaging from being torn and the beads from being scattered. Parents should supervise children at all times to prevent them from accidentally ingesting or playing with the beads.

Storing the Launcher: Cleaning and Maintaining to Prevent Damage

The launcher is an essential tool for playing with HDRASON® Gel Blaster water beads. Proper cleaning and maintenance can extend its lifespan and prevent problems such as jamming and failure to fire.

1. Clean After Play

After each use of the Hdrason® Gel Blaster water beads, clean the launcher. First, empty any remaining water beads from the launcher and empty the magazine and barrel. This prevents any remaining beads from drying and hardening, potentially causing jams during the next use. Next, wipe the launcher surface with a clean, damp cloth to remove dust, stains, and water marks. Be careful not to use corrosive cleaners such as alcohol or gasoline, as these may damage the surface coating. Finally, clean the internal structure of the launcher. For manual launchers, you can disassemble the magazine for cleaning and use a cotton swab to remove any remaining moisture and impurities. For electric launchers, disassembly is not recommended. Instead, turn the launcher upside down and gently tap it to remove any remaining beads and impurities. Then, use a hair dryer (on cold air) to blow air through the magazine and barrel to remove any moisture.

 2. Regular Maintenance to Prevent Rust

The metal parts of a launcher (such as the trigger and magazine catch) are easily rusted when exposed to air for extended periods, which can affect performance. Therefore, regular maintenance is essential. First, inspect the launcher's metal parts for signs of rust. If minor rust is found, lightly sand with fine sandpaper to remove it. Then, apply a small amount of lubricant (such as sewing machine oil or firearm lubricant) to maintain lubrication. Second, for electric launchers, regularly check the battery level to prevent prolonged battery drain, which can shorten battery life. When not in use for extended periods, remove the battery and store it separately in a dry place. Finally, place the cleaned and maintained launcher in a dedicated storage bag or box to avoid impact and vibration. Store away from direct sunlight, high temperatures, and humidity to prevent deformation and degradation.

Proper storage will keep your Hdrason® Gel Blaster water beads and launcher in good condition. You can enjoy your next play session without wasting time dealing with spoiled water beads or damaged launchers. Developing good storage habits can not only extend the life of the product but also make the playing experience smoother.
